From the early 2000s, this lovely vintage shift dress by Jean Paul Gaultier features a beautifully embroidered yoke on a rust-colored background. The body is a taupe-colored silk (a little more subdued than in the photos) with a romantic, old-fashioned floral print.The dress closes at the back neckline with two maroon-covered hooks and eyes at the top of a nine-inch opening. The fabric and size labels have been removed, but there is no question that the dress fabric is a lightweight woven silk with just a hint of a crepey texture. The dress is unlined.
