Loosely inserted is a pamphlet containing information on this limited edition volume.
This is one of nine impressions of a limited edition of this work, lettered A to I, on Abbey Mills Greenfield paper, with one original drawing. This copy is lettered I, and contains an original drawing tipped in to the rear, as well as the nine tipped-in reproductions of the original drawings.
Miniaturist, illustrator and writer, Raymond Lister (1919-2001) was a noted art historian, specialising in British romantic art. For this volume he produced nine intriguing designs alongside the nine-line poem on the emblems of Theodosius or the unity of Endymion and Prometheus.
CONDITION
In the publishers original cloth binding. Externally, in lovely condition. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean.
