Antique Black African American Wooden Folk Art Doll Puppet 12"

From a smoke-free home.
It has some lightwearfrom age. It is missing a foot aswell.
Found in the estate storage of a prominent White Plains, NY African American memorabilia collector. He once had items out on loan to Northern VA/DC Smithsonian Satellite museum.
Looks to be from the early 1900s? Maybe older. Dress is hand sewn. Probably hand carved as well. Jointed.
Measures 12".
