Photogravure monumentale tirée sur vélin fort par les successeurs de Goupil pour le compte de Thomas Mc Lean, published to her Majesty, 7 Haymarket, August 1st 1892...

La feuille : 59 x 82 cm

Rare épreuve datelier provenantde latelier Goupil dAsnières, tirée sur vélin fort, et portant en partie le timbre "Modèle" (extrémité de la marge inférieure)

Cette photogravure, comme la plupart points de vente de celles décrites au chapitre "Rares épreuves détat, dessai ou datelier" nest pas mentionnée dans les catalogues Goupil. Elle a été imprimée pour le compte déditeurs anglo-saxons et na apparemment jamais été diffusée en France.

Provenance : Famille de lacquéreur du fonds Goupil, Bordeaux

Conservation : lépreuve est coupée au coup de planche ; fortes macules dencre dimprimerie dans les marges tout à fait normales pour une épreuve dessai de ce type ; verso également maculé ; bande de renfort à lextrémité des marges, au verso, afin de pouvoir mieux manipuler lépreuve en atelier lors des divers contrôles dencrage, de tirage, etc.
