GeorgeJung did a handful of private autograph signings following his release fromprison in 2017. However my George Jung signatures are very unique and rare asGeorge added RARE inscriptions on the items he signed for me which are one of akind. I personally corresponded with George Jung for a decade while he wasincarcerated. This autograph was signed while he was incarcerated in OtisvillePrison. BIO:George Jung (Deceased) Medellín Cartel Drug Lord who worked directly for PabloEscobar. It is believed that George Jung contributed to 80% all the cocainethat was smuggled into the United States during the 1970's-1980's. George Jungwas portrayed by Johnny Depp in the 2001 biopic film titled Blow. At the heightof this enterprise Jung and his associates were reportedly making $250,000 amonth (equivalent to over $1.7 million in 2020 dollars adjusting forinflation).
Hewas nicknamed “Boston George” and “El Americano.” Jung initially had hisstewardess girlfriend transport the drugs in her suitcases on flights. Insearch of even greater profits he expanded his operation to flying the drugs infrom Puerto Vallarta, Mexico using airplanes stolen from private airports onCape Cod.
Jungwas also partnered with notorious Medellín Cartel smuggler Carlos Lehder whoallowed Jung to use his private island Norman's Cay to refuel his planes beforeJung smuggled cocaine into the United States. Normans Cay island which is 210miles off the Florida coast in the central Bahamas.
In1994 Jung was arrested with 1,754 pounds of cocaine. He later pleaded guilty tothree counts of conspiracy and received a 70-year sentence. Jung wasincarcerated at Otisville Federal Prison then was transferred to FederalCorrectional Institution La Tuna and then to Federal Correctional Institution,Fort Dix, New Jersey. Jung was released from prison in 2017 and passed away in2021 in Weymouth, Massachusetts.
