DESCRIPTION
The first edition of this very scarce collection about Mr. Chumsons comically ill-conceived futuristic inventions.
A contemporary review in The Mercury, published in November 1903, termed this work a bunch of brightly written short stories of the inventions and experiments of Mr. Silas K. Chumson, who, not satisfied with being "up-to-date", wants to be "up-to-to-morrow".
Illustrated throughout, with a frontispiece and numerous vignette illustrations from the author, F. Holmes, R. Brownley and others.
With a thirty-two page publishers catalogue to the rear, dated March 1903.
The binding of the work gives the title incorrectly; while the title of the work is Up-to-To-morrow, the front board reads and spine read Up To-Morrow.
CONDITION
In the publishers original pictorial cloth binding. Bumping to back strip head and tail, with discolouration to back strip. Boards bright, with mark to head of rear board. Hinges strained, with rear hinge firmly held, and front hinge a touch tender.
Overall Condition: Very Good
